Nationwide, an average of three children of all races, genders, and
socioeconomic backgrounds die each day as a result of abuse or neglect
(according to the Children’s Bureau of the United States Department of
Health). Our Partnership for Safe Families and Communities in conjunction
with the Child Abuse and Prevention Council helps our communities and
families understand and recognize family violence. Our goal is to
facilitate the education and training of professionals, community, and
family members in the prevention, intervention, and treatment of family
violence.
This partnership exists through the Ventura County Child Abuse Prevention
Council. We are open to replicating similar relationships with other
