Partnership for Safe Families and Communities

Nationwide, an average of three children of all races, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds die each day as a result of abuse or neglect (according to the Children’s Bureau of the United States Department of Health).  Our Partnership for Safe Families and Communities in conjunction with the Child Abuse and Prevention Council helps our communities and families understand and recognize family violence.  Our goal is to facilitate the education and training of professionals, community, and family members in the prevention, intervention, and treatment of family violence.

Objectives
  • Promote community awareness of family violence and the resources available for prevention, intervention, and treatment
  • Facilitate the education and training of professionals and community members in the prevention, intervention, and treatment of family violence
  • Develop and support public policy and legislation that furthers the mission and goals of the Partnership
  • Provide a forum for interagency cooperation and coordination
This partnership exists through the Ventura County Child Abuse Prevention Council. We are open to replicating similar relationships with other California County Child Abuse Prevention Councils. To learn more, click here to inquiry or call the Aspiranet – Ventura office at 805-289-0130.
