Post Adoption Services Resource Centers Help Families Seek Permanency
Aspiranet’s Post Adoption Resource Centers are designed to help adoptive
families with resources to meet their unique needs. Families need assistance
from time to time and Aspiranet is there with referrals, educational tools
and support group services. All services are free to families.
Our Information and Referral Services are designed to support our adoptive
families with a variety of resources in the community. (This service is
directed to those families who have adopted through Contra Costa County
Children and Family Services).
- Lending Library – Borrow books/videos for children and adults on parenting,
attachment, inter-racial adoption, as well as various other adoption related
topics.
- Referrals – Receiving community resources
- On-line/Internet – Assistance with accessing on-line/internet resources
- Lifebook/Scrapbook Sessions – A meeting occurs monthly with post-adoptive
families. The center provides all tools and supplies. This is an excellent
time to talk with other adoptive families about their experiences as well as
share your own, all while creating a beautiful album for your family.
